Om Yoga Show 2017 — Manchester
This weekend saw my second visit to the Om Yoga Show — loved it so much last year that I had to go back! It was interesting visiting it from a different point of view; last time I just had ideas of becoming a yoga teacher, but this time I visited as a full blown yogi.
There are so many open classes going on that you can choose to participate in for free (!), just get there in good time to secure a spot. Watching all the different styles being taught was fascinating — and I definitely know it's added to my teaching toolkit.
There are other workshop classes available that you can pay and book on to, these are the cream of the crop. They sell out pretty quickly though so make sure you book your tickets online before! I chose to do a couple, including the Aerial Yoga Swings class and Sylvia Garcia's Handstands for Yogis class (posts about these classes coming later this week).
The variety of stalls was incredible; from yoga supplies to tea, food bars, tarot readings and so much more. I spent two days walking around the place and still don't think I really saw the lot.
The Mind Body Soul show was also on that weekend, and as an Om ticket holder I had free access. There were lovely stalls here too, including the Green Tea Artisan who made me a great cup of matcha.
My favourite part of the Mind Body Soul exhibition had to be the yurt — with regular meditation sessions free to everyone, I popped in and tried it out. The space was awesome, I'd love to hire one of these out for a weekend retreat (or just to keep in my garden!)
